Eisco Labs Electrostatic Pompon Set

2 electrostatic pompons used for electrostatic experiments. A metal rod mounted on an insulated plastic stand carries a round metal plate at its top and a fringe of 40 colored nylon cords. When the plate is touched with an electrostatically charged rod, the cords become charged and spread out into a wide cone by mutual repulsion. The pompon is well insulated and will hold its charge for up to 30 minutes in dry air. This set contains a pair of pompons. Each pompon is 18.5 cm high with 10.5 cm long fringes. Base is 7 cm in diameter.
