Calorimeter Styrofoam cup

Very economical way to do calorimetry, sometimes called a coffee cup calorimeter. This polystyrene cup has a lid that can be closed. The user fills the cum with a known volume of water and then insert a thermometer through the lid and when a chemical reaction occurs the heat of the reaction is absorbed by the water and that change intemperature is used to calculate the head that has been absorbed.Simple, easy and effective.
